However, to receive an athletic scholarship an athlete must possess the talent to compete in collegiate athletics, maintain good grades, excel on the ACT or SAT scores, and reach out to the right college coaches. Some college-bound student-athletes will receive full athletic scholarships and some partial athletic scholarships, while others are offered and accept other kinds of scholarships and financial aid still others choose to walk on.

How do college coaches use SCR’s information?
College coaches receive a variety of information from SCR on each of the student-athletes who we accept into our program. Because SCR is a trusted information source for colleges throughout the country, a coach can begin scouting an athlete through our reports without having to fly across the country to see the athlete. That saves the college coach valuable time and money, and allows them to see athletes they would have never known about before.

What does USCR do for student-athletes?
SCR develops and distributes detailed scouting reports on each athlete, giving college coach information on the athlete's academic progress, athletic achievements and more. The Recruit staff also makes daily telephone, fax and e-mail contact with coaches, finding out what their needs are and filling those needs with our database of athletes. College coaches also contact Recruit directly to announce roster openings and scholarship needs, making it easy for our staff to research our database of athletes and get a coach several qualified prospects to choose from. It's this detailed personal communication with college coaches all over the country that give SCR athletes the edge when it comes to getting noticed for sports scholarships. Each athlete we work with is unique, and our programs are custom designed to meet the individual needs of our athletes and their family.
